Nutty Apple Pie

3 cups Water

1 tsp Vanilla

1/2 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 cup chopped Nuts

1/4 tsp Salt

1 tbsp Butter

3 cups dried Apple

1/2 cup granulated Sugar

1/2 tsp ground Nutmeg

1 tsp Flour

9 inch Two-crust Pie Shell


1. Dehydrate apples in your Excalibur dehydrator at 135 degrees F for 7-15 hours

2. Combine water, apples, and vanilla in a pot

3. Simmer until fruit is tender

4. Remove from heat and add dry ingredients, mix well

5. Pour into pie shell and dot with butter

6. Moisten edge of lower crust

7. Place top crust over apples

8. Bake at 400 degrees F or 204 degrees C for 35 minutes

9. Let cool before serving
